Basically, organizational culture is the personality of the organization. Culture is comprised of the assumptions, values, norms and tangible signs (artifacts) of organization members and their behaviors. Members of an organization soon come to sense the particular culture of an organization. Culture is one of those terms that's difficult to express distinctly, but everyone knows it when they sense it. Corporate culture can be looked at as a system. Inputs include feedback from, e.g., society, professions, laws, stories, heroes, values on competition or service, etc. The process is based on our assumptions, values and norms, e.g., our values on money, time, facilities, space and people. Outputs or effects of our culture are, e.g., organizational behaviors, technologies, strategies, image, products, services, appearance, etc. Every component of the corporate culture needs to underpin what is required from all stakeholders in order to realize the strategic goals. There must be a reinforcing stream of communications. All the actions in the organization need to translate into the cultural realities. A culture can be created or reinforced through the use of socialization. Avenues for socialization abound in functions like selection, placement on the job, job mastery, the measurement and rewarding of performance, and recognition and promotion. Reinforcing a culture can emerge through the stories told and the folklore propagated and, most importantly, through the adherence to chosen important values. The key to the success of the above is to ensure that the culture you wish to socialize others into is an ideal one, necessary for breakthrough performance in your work area or organization. If it is not, then you need to involve everyone in the evaluation and creation of a more suitable culture. As Absit has grown and developed as a company, we realized that the most important asset we have is our people - the team. We say that Absit is not just a company - it is a community that consists of our management, employees, partners, and even our families Our culture at AbsIT is concerned with the development of coherent view points which bring a cumulative effect to otherwise isolated experience of a group making them feel special yet allowing others to have parallel experience. We don’t led our employees by plans and evaluations, indeed we create inspiration, self respect, a sense of ownership and excitement. We supply them with shared vision and inspire them to achieve more than they may ever dream possible. This “Can-do” attitude breathe life, confidence and creativity by unlocking the inner power of our people and sustaining with their commitment. Our community lives an interesting and bright life. To constantly improve services and solutions and thus to increase success of partners and customers, Absit pays special attention to the education of our employees. One of the most important aspects of our educational program is the Absit Training Centre where every employee, regardless of his or her position, can get additional knowledge, experience new technologies, and improve his or her skills. In addition, our employees participate in education and certification programs from Microsoft and Oracle. Keeping a solid, agile, and highly motivated team is one of the priority tasks of AbsIT. We organize various affairs where employees, together with their families, meet, rest, and communicate in an informal atmosphere. Being a people-oriented company, and understanding that relationships are the basis of our business; AbsIT pays special attention to all kinds of relations and communications in the company. In addition, sometimes our partners and customers join us in an informal atmosphere - this is a unique opportunity to see the company from inside and understand AbsIT as a community, not just as a company. |
